De 1975 à 1977 he has been Provincial Director of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture – Chiloé Province, De 1979 à 1980 he has been Head of the National Regional Development Fund – FNDR Chile, and From 1980 à 1990 Development Manager of National Agricultural Research Institute – INIA Chile.
He has been President of the Colegio de Ingenieros Agronomos de Chile AG., from 1991 à 2002, President, First Pan American and World Congress of Agricultural Engineers in 1994, President, Pan American Association of Agricultural Engineers – APIA, from 1994 à 2000, President of World Association of Agricultural Engineers – AMIA, from 1994 à 2000 and Member Board of Directors Agricultural Research Institute – INIA,from 1998 à 2003.
De 1994 he is Member Board of Directors World Association of Agricultural Engineers – AMIA, and Member Board of Directors Pan American Association of Agricultural Engineers – APIA,Honorary Director of Central American Federation of Colleges of Agricultural Engineers – FECADIA from 2011
