Rosa Gallardo Cobos

Resume

Rosa Gallardo Cobos is Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Córdoba since 1998.

Her areas of expertise are focused on the Analysis of the Agricultural and Rural Policies; Rural and Agricultural Restructuring and the Dynamics of Rural Territories; Resilience of Agriculture and Rural Territories, and the Socioeconomic Impact of the Digital Transformation Process.

She has been Project Coordinator in 16 Projects and Contracts and has participated as a member of the research team in 28 International and National Research Projects and Contracts.

She is the author or co-author of 65 scientific papers, books and book chapters. She has directed 10 Doctoral Theses and 65 Theses of Master and Diploma Degree.

She has been a member of the European Commission’s Expert Committee advising the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR) on the new challenges for agricultural research in the EU, being responsible for issues related to agricultural and rural policies (2009).

In 2020, she received an Honorable Mention in the XI edition of the Excellence Awards for Innovation for Rural Women, from the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

She is currently a member of the Advisory Council of the Andalusian Institute for Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training (IFAPA).

She is currently the Dean of the School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering of the University of Córdoba, from which she has promoted a comprehensive strategy for the incorporation of digital skills in the degrees for which this university centre is responsible.
